I took these photo spur of the moment while I was sitting with Trouble as he ate grass. I took them at sunset towards the end so I had to work quickly. My SD was also full so I had to quickly delete a couple old photos in order to get some extras of this cute boy. I tried to pick an angle that worked so the field across the road was in most of the photos since the other direction is full of distracting objects.
I've wanted to get photos of Trouble for a while because he is my favorite horse at the sanctuary who I hope to adopt one day. When I first started volunteering at the sanctuary he wasn't even one yet. He was really scared of people and wouldn't even let you put a halter on him. I started working with him at the end of the summer (2023) and absolutely fell in love. Now we do so much, I work with him mostly on desensitizing to get him used to many things. Since he is only one and a half now he still can't be ridden so we do everything on the ground. I love just sitting with him and spending time with him. I was so excited to take these photo because it meant he was finally at the point where I could let him eat grass by the road without having to hold him the whole time.
